Jesus’ Titanic

According to director James Cameron (Titanic) this is the century’s greatest archaeological find.

This photo released in 2002 by the Biblical Archaeological Society(BAS) shows a bone box or ossuary which was found along with 10 ossuries with names etched into them in the Talpiot neighbourhood of Jerusalem during the construction of an appartment building in the 1980s. A documentary by

Cameron claims that Jesus ossuary has been found along with his “wife” Mary Magdalene and “son” Judah. The problem with this story is that although the same grave contained the names, Mary, Mary the Master, Judah son of Jesus, and Jesus son of Joseph, these were all very common names in the first century.

Update: Check out this news report. The reporter actually says, “With a story this good, facts are not going to get in the way.”

Update II: Cameron is claiming to have found Jesus’ bones, etc. However, not one has ever been able to explain away the empty tomb. Who rolled the stone away under Roman guard? Why would grave robbers fold the burial cloth? Why would the disciples think to mention the cloth? No one in all of history from that time refuted the claim of the empty tomb, they only sought to explain it away. Why would eleven men die (torturously) for a lie? One of them would have finally said, “Stop, we made it up!” They didn’t. Christ is real. He was fully man and fully God. That is the only way my sins could have been paid for on the cross. He reversed the curse of Adam, by living sinless and dying in my place.

The sad part is that people are desperately looking for evidence of Christ but are not aware of the reasons why they are looking.

 Hollywood is always looking for Jesus. Their problem is (IMO) the Jesus they are searching for is not the same Jesus you and I know. The way to know who is Jesus is is to invite Him into their lives instead of living like there is no tomorrow. I feel sorry for Hollywood. It used to turn out such good movies now only a handful are actually worth watching. What a shame.

I agree Millard. I feel very sorry for Hollywood as well. It seems to be a place with so little hope. Can you imgaine being an appointed missionary to that area much less a pastor responsible for shepherding a church i the midst of all that? Prayer is the mightiest tool we have.

Many syncretistic religions formed gnosticism. Gnosticism was rivaling against Christianity and gnosticism held itself better religion as Christianity was. Word gnosticism comes from Greek word gnosis, which means knowledge. Gnosticism had various effects, for instance, some Gnostics taught that divinity can be achieved through unity of the man and woman. This thought led some Gnostics to reach for divinity through sexual intercourse between the man and woman. There existed also some Gnostics, who abstained from sexual intercourse. When we know the fact that Gnostics held Christians as their enemies and that Gnostics held themselves better as Christians and that Gnostics wanted to show in every way that Gnosticism was better as Christianity, so Gnostics made so called gnostic gospels were they twisted, slandered and misrepresented the real gospels. Gnostics went so far in this misrepresent that they wrote “new gospels” by faking the real gospels. In these faked gospels Gnostics wrote that Jesus Christ was an ordinary man who has a sexual relationship with Mary Magdalene.
