It must take faith…

Friday, April 27th, 2007

It must take a great deal of faith to maintain a macro-evolutionary belief system.

“I will hide Your Word in my heart”

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

Image from Quiz Show (1994)I can’t believe I actually finished. I haven’t blogged about my latest project because I wasn’t really sure what to say. Today, after 3 months of studying I have finally memorized Ephesians (except for the middle of chapter 3 - I still need to work on that.) But today, I had to sit down and write out what I could remember from what I had memorized and then I will send it in to my professor. I had the option of doing an 8 page paper - those don’t take 3 months - or this project to memorize Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Thank you to those that have been praying for me.

There are some good techniques that were passed on to me by my professor, Dr. Radu Gheorgita. I would be glad to share them with you if you are interested. It can be done.

A long time ago, I learned the verse in Psalm 119 that says “I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I may not sin against you.” I would encourage you to memorize large portions of scripture. In many ways it is easier to remember a whole chapter rather than a few scattered verses.

Big Church Art

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

There should be a category in the art world for Big Church Art. Many children love to color during worship. Often, when they do color, it reveals something that they believe about life. Kyah gave me this picture after church yesterday morning. I thought you might enjoy it.

Kyah's Art

I agree with Kyah - when I think of the sun, it has a happy face right now and the flowers are beginning to bloom. You can see the effect that all of this has on the face of the girl in the picture. God’s creation calls me to rejoice in who He is and His blessings on my life.
