The extreme heat of the week didn’t stop everyone from having a great time at youth camp. It was a joy to see hundreds of teenagers worshiping the Lord together throughout the week. The FBC youth seemed to especially appreciate their Bible study groups and the camp staff. The high school students are working hard to maintain their commitment to spiritual growth and discipleship even now that we’ve been back from camp for a few weeks. They’ve started their own weekly time of Bible study, worship, and prayer.
I will be encouraging the youth to bring this enthusiasm into the upcoming school year as they are challenged to be on fire for the Lord not only amongst themselves, but also amongst their non-Christian friends and peers. Please pray for boldness for them to be faithful witnesses even when it’s unpopular and inconvenient.
Everything starts and ends with God's Word. We can't begin to impact others until we fit our lives to revolve around God, and not expect God to revolve around us. As we grow in our faith the more that we KNOW what the Bible says and the more we can DO what the Bible says, we can BE who God calls us to be.
Each week, we have a discussion based Bible study where the students are free to ask questions, offer up comments, or voice concerns.
On Mondays, we meet from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for a time of fellowship and fun.
